GSJS Junior Troop 1574 Comes To The Aid Of Hurricane Sandy Victims . . .
Girl Scout of the Jersey Shore’s Junior Troop 1574 located in the Ramtown section of Howell really pulled it together to support those affected by Hurricane Sandy they participated in two community service projects. These girls are very active in their local community, and it was no surprise that they took on the feat of collecting five bags each of cleaning supplies from their friends and neighbors in the Ramtown area of Howell during the week of November 26, and quickly delivered them to the Union Beach Police Department on November 30 to help with the massive cleanup which was to precede the Hurricane
Junior Troop 1574 also adopted a family of a single mother with two young sons for Christmas from Keansburg who lost their home to Hurricane Sandy. The Junior Troop, along with the help of their parents purchased the kids entire Christmas lists. The interaction with the community has been very beneficial to the girls as well as for the recipients that they have collected.
The leaders of Howell Troop 1574 Danielle Handerhan, Patreece Dombrowski, along with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore couldn’t be more proud of the efforts of the girls of Junior Troop 1574;
Rachael Handerhan, Lexie Dombrowski, Peri Wiser, Kylee McGowan, Jillian Burdge, Megan Barnes, Dani Hortsman, Alison Jackson, Sarah Sysyn, and Lauren Letsch. Kudos to you girls, and thank you for your service!
