'Claws Aim to Stay Strong Against Intimidators

Local team home for four game series

Before heading back out on the road the Lakewood BlueClaws will make a quick four game stop at home to take on the Kannapolis Intimidators at FirstEnergy Park.

The action kicks off tonight at 7:05 when the team will welcome not only the Intimidators to the Jersey Shore but also the Zooperstars for the game. With such legends as Clammy Sosa, Shark McGwire and Derek Cheetah among the possible guests Buster figures to have plenty of company in the stands.

Thursday night is Ladies Night at the ballpark with vendors, drink specials and special deals at the Claws Cove for those in attendance. It's also another Thirsty Thursday with the BlueClaws. The first 2000 fans over 18-years-old will receive a t-shirt in honor of former Philadelphia Phillie and current BlueClaws manager Mickey Morandini.

Friday night at FirstEnergy Park means a post game fireworks display and the first 2000 fans will also be able to bring home a Carlos "Chooch" Ruiz poster. The series is scheduled to end on Saturday night when the first 2000 fans 17 and under will be able to get their hands on a Ryan Howard baseball.

After three games in Augusta and four in Greensboro the BlueClaws are set to return home on Aug. 20 to start a three game series with the Delmarva ShoreBirds.
