Don't Forget to Vote
County and state slots on the ballot this year in addition to a key state question
As of 12 p.m. the polling places all across Howell are open giving residents the chance to cast their votes for several positions on the county and state level.
In the 30th legislative district there is a state senate seat as well as two seats in the state assembly available. There are Republicans, Democrats and a Libertarian vying for the spots to represent the area in Trenton.
While there are no elections on the municipal level for Howell, there are residents from the township running in the elections. Steve Morlino, a Howell resident, is running for the senate from the democratic side of the ticket.
There are also seats available on the Freeholder board. Running on the Democratic side of this election is former State Trooper William Shea who also calls Howell home.
In addition to the ballot options there is also a public question about the future of sports gambling in the state.
