The wet weather that drenched Howell on Tuesday afternoon looks to be sticking around until at least Wednesday night if not into Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Monmouth County and Northeastern Ocean County until 5:30 p.m. As part of the warning the forecast calls for close to two inches in a short period of time. Some areas may see up to three inches.
A flood warning has also been issued for Southwestern Monmouth County and Ocean County until 4 p.m. The warning could mean flooding on area roads and in poor drainage areas as well as small streams and creeks according to the National Weather Service.
