Howell Resident Charged With Lewdness at Manasquan Reservoir

Faced similar charges from other incidents

A township resident was arrested earlier this month after the Howell Police Department received reports of a man walking naked in the Manasquan Reservoir Parking Lot.

Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said when Ptl. Richard Robertiello and Ryan Richards responded to the scene  they found 66-year-old Raymond Haller standing naked next to his car. At just before 6 p.m. on March 11 Dodd said the park was open  and there were "a large number of visitors," in the area on what she described as a warm day.

Haller was charged with lewdness and issued a summons. Dodd said he has been arrested for similar incidents. In July of 2012 he was seen running naked through the Walgreens at the intersection of Route 9 and Lanes Mill Road. Two months later he was arrested again after being found walking naked in Echo Lake Park.

Dodd said Haller is also suspected in similar incidents dating back to 2009 where a man was reportedly seen walking naked but when officers responded Haller was found fully clothed. No charges were filed in those incidents.
