After being closed for two weeks due to Hurricane Sandy and the ensuing Nor'Easter the Howell Board of Education updated its calendar for the rest of the year barring any additional storms.
Several scheduled vacations for students were adjusted with the updated calendar. School will now be open the Monday after Easter as well as President's Day and Martin Luther King Day. The last day is now set for June 21.
According to the updated calendar any additional days will be added to the end of the year up to June 28. Beyond that point days will be taken from spring vacation as needed.

LAst night's board meeting was disgusting. Mr. VanNoy put on some show, he should apologize to Mrs. Smith and RESIGN. And so should the other elders who continue to want to give away the store and have NO regard for the taxpayers of this town.
