Halloween may not be for another week but Howell residents are invited to break out their costumes a little early for some spooky fun on Wednesday.

The township's annual Spooktacular is scheduled to run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Oak Glen Park. As part of the event there will be a costume contest at 7 p.m. 

There is a rain date for Thursday and everyone in attendance is encouraged to bring a can or box of pet food that will be donated to the local humane Society.
