It's good to see that Lowe's is exercising some corporate responsibility in the aftermath of the storm. The price gouging they practiced before, during and after the storm with the price of generators and the "high end" more expensive generators that were the only ones "available" was shameful. My neighbor and I have the same exact generators purchased from Lowe's. The difference was I pad $400 for my generator days after Irene in 2011, he bought his days after Sandy for $900. Same EXACT generator. Give back to those less fortunate, after all it's their money you gouged.

Report that to the state Office of Consumer Affairs... A multi-million-dollar settlement might lower our taxes #1 each.

All Businesses price gouge...it will be worse after any storm. They have to make it up some way. When people stop buying maybe then businesses will come back down to reality.

Ed From middletown: Not in the two lowes in our area that I'm aware of nor in the two home depots either, they were most helpful in doing their best with what they had....are you sure you're not just bashing they "Big rich guy?" Martin is correct in that instead of taking it just report it and they will keep you in touch with the progress of thier investigation.....stop complaing and ACT!!!!

I payed what was advertised and after the storm they were still the same price when I checked to see if they had restocked...I think maybe a different gen. or larger K's in out put or someone has prices wrong ! Double check ??

Yeah...Just like the Towing company that was gouging made a mistake. He is back tracking and now charging nothing otherwise he would be going to jail. The consumers need to get tough and fight back...Start making complaints.

Paul, What towing company was that ? If you don't like the price don't get towed, you have the option of calliing another. Name the company if you will.....By the way, where did you file the complaint?

NJ Ghost, You must be a "Ghost" You did not hear about "APK Towing" The towing company was towing unnecessary cars and then over charing them. They even went on private property without permission to remove cars that were not in anyones way. Don't you read the papers? I guess not, They should nail this guy to the wall. Now that his scam did not work and their was many complaints he is back tracking and waiving towing fees.
