Obituary: Joann M. Schultz, 79
Scranton native moved to Howell 49 years ago
Joann M. Schulz, 79, of Howell Township passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 23, 2012. Joann was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in Howell for the past 49 years. She was homemaker but also worked as a telephone operator for NJ Bell Telephone, Newark from 1950 to 1957. Joann was a parishioner of St. Veronica’s Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Schulz, her parents, Albert and Celia Casper; a brother, John Casper; and a sister, Lucille Smolik. Joann is survived by her seven children, Joanmarie Rossi and her husband, James of Neptune, John Schulz and his wife, Janice of Manchester, Janet Reid of Evergreen, CO, Jeffrey Schulz of Howell, Joseph Schulz and his wife, Kim of Tinton Falls, Jerome Schulz and his wife, Tiffin of Elizabethtown, KY, and Jennifer Schulz of Howell; eight grandchildren, John, Kevin, Amanda, and Alexander Schulz, Jordan, Jasmine, and Jackson Wieger, and Sarah Leigh Schulz; a sister, Mary Ann Toriello of Norwich, NY; and a brother, Edward Casper of Toms River.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at 7:45 AM on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home for the procession to The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell, for her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
