Our best wishes go out to those injured, and those who lost their lives in this tragedy. The lack of safe places to walk in NJ has again created a tragic situation. If saving lives isn’t enough for you, bicycle-pedestrian paths can increase property values by up to $8,800.

You can build as many paths as you want, but Route 9 will always remain a high speed death trap so lets spend more on enforcement instead of making proposals that will put bicycle riders and pedestrians more at risk.

My heart goes out to the victims and the driver who is also a victim. the public complained of not having a crosswalk at texas rd intersection and that was built BUT pedestrian still cross over the median between moving vehicles. There has to be a way to put an end to all these accidents. A little from the drivers and some from the pedestrians. no one wants to be a victim from the rd or behind the whee!

I definitely think a walkway over Rt 9 should be built , especially where there are people getting on and off the Buses from Manhattan, I worry every night, more so in the winter, when it is dark at 6. We pay enough taxes, and our safety should come first.
