Someone who also witnessed it said, on another site, he was traveling east, crossed the center median and hit a car in the westbound lanes.

I bet one of the drivers was talking on the phone when they crashed.

It's a shame that selfish, self-centered people put others in danger by chatting away while driving. Some of them fool themselves into thinking that it's okay because they use a hands-free device, but as educated people know, the studies are utterly clear on the fact that it doesn't make a difference. It's all about distraction.

And now someone is dead because of it. How many more people have to die before this stops?

Rest in peace. I mourn their loss.

I ride that road everyday the traffic is great most the problem happens if you don't drive it everyday you make moves that people can't predict but very smooth otherwise but I guess it's not breaking any more they did update the story though

We were travelling west driving home to Pittsburgh and came up to it minutes after it happened --- kudos to all the people driving eastbound who stopped and tried to help along with those who were stopped westbound behind the accident. Prayers and thoughts go out to the families.

There r more cops on that road then any other road. But things happen. I hate traffic accidents, such a waste of life and time. People do fly on that road so speed probably was a factor
