Township Starting Final Brush Collection

Residents reminded to have all brush to be collected at the curb tomorrow

After all the downed trees caused by Hurricane Sandy and the ensuing snowstorm the township is finishing the first round of brush and debris collection.

According to the township's website residents who still have brush to be collected should have their items moved to the curb no later than Dec. 16.

Having already done one sweep of the township this will be the second and final time brush will be collected until the spring. "Anyone with brush out after that date may be subject to Code Enforcement," the announcement said.

The original storm mess is still on Bronia Street and Porter Road in The Ramtown section. When was the brush first picked up?

My brush (1st round) was picked up by a private contractor on a SUNDAY! I expect all kinds of fancy footwork when it comes to an explanation of my tax bill increase. No doubt, another private contractor will be through again, & - a - thanks for the heads up, Howell. My husband works hard during the week, now he has to rush to finish up the yard. Please change the name of your "Planning Board"; as it is becoming more of a "throw it against the wall & see what sticks" kind of thing...

Really people! Consider yourself fortunate to have a house that you can put brush in front of.

The crews that came through have done an amazing job. We were so impressed, my wife made brownies for them.

JMU... I'm very thankful .... You missed the point. I don't care about the brush just sitting there! But having Howell say they did a first round of cleanup in our area when they never did and then say they will issue fines if after the second clean up is crazy.... They need to do the first one in this area! Once again.... Some over paid person in Howell not doing their job or overseeing the people that our taxed are paying to do the job we hired them to do the first time.

Same here where I live on Johnny Drive. No debris was ever picked up during the first so called clean sweep.
