Richard
I have done my research on the District. If you think for a minute that we just throw are hat in the ring to see what happens you are mistaken. I assure you that our knowledge of the fireservice is quite extensive. I have spent many year working with City Council Members, Mayors, and Business Adminstrators.

I have attended quite a few Commissioner Meetings in the past, Ask around. stop by this Wednesday you may see me and my running mate. Everyone I'm running against remembers me.

Ask around I'm sure you can find out where we have come from.

A little word to the wise... It is illegal to remove another candidate election sign. By the way our team is out all over the district. I guess somebody is getting worried about the 2 new guys. By the way it not hard to figure out which team is removing the signs when they are only leaving theirs up. See ya soon.

Its unfortunate that a Fire District candidate would stoop so low. As to calling my job with false information looking to get us in trouble. Shame on you!!!!

By the way we are aware of where all of the candidates work. Dont worry we are far more PROFESSIONAL than that!!!!

My name is Doug Heselbarth, Artie Esposito and I are running for Fire Commissioner, we have placed almost 200 lawn signs around our district plus five large 4x4 billboards around our district, between friday night, the 8th of February and Saturday morning the 9th, all of our large billboards had been stolen along with half of our lawn signs. A police report was filed with Howell PD. Artie and myself have run a fair campaign but obviously there are people who are afraid to see us re-elected. I can assure everyone Artie nor myself have had anything to do with any campaign signs being removed.

Like I said earlier its not to hard to figure out who is doing it when there were 3 signs up 1 day and 1 sign up the next. My running mate and and I are too running a very clean campaign. We wouldn't even think of pulling down a sign or calling someone job. Lets not forget that is how my friend and I feed our family

I saw that already. Im not surprised. Anything to win right? I'm running a campaign that at the end of the day I will be able to look at my family and say we were fare and honest. I have answered many questions this week while meeting residence. Some didn't even know what the election was for. At the end of the day I hope we were able to inform the people they have a choice. Wish me luck. Back to the campaign

I am pretty sure that I am a resident of this fire district and this carpenter will help a union brother out! This has to be one of the most top secret elections around. It'll be our first time out for this. The wife and my neighbors will surely be there.. Sounds like you're upsetting the apple cart in this club for sure! Good Luck!

It is not any thing to win, I checked with the board of elections and was told it was ok since I am a past commissioner. I am not trying to fool anyone as a matter of fact I am telling everyone I lost last years election by one vote so they realize how important every vote is. You stated you have attended quite a few commissioners meetings, My last 3 years on the board I remember you attending ONE meeting and I was told last year you attended NONE so who is really deceiving the public. Artie Esposito and myself have been dedicated volunteers at Southard Fire Department for 25 years serving our community. I do not appreciate when you make false accusations, I have not said anything negative about any of the candidates maybe for the next two days everyone else can!!

I find it quite funny that you dont remember me. Let me refresh your memory I was the Guy who put his hat in the ring last year and you blew a cork. Artie knows who I am also he was invted in my home last year when the board challenged my petition. By the way I am also the guy who sat in the back of the room for the meetings I attended and watch what a commissioner does. I have nothing against any of the commissioners We just feel we can definitely add something new and fresh. Good Luck Saturday. By the way we do agree with you on one thing 'Every vote does count"!! It gonna be interesting to see who has the most in the end.

Here something to think about. You said you lost by 1 vote last year. My wife and I both voted last year. Looks like we beat you once already.

I have been questioned by a few people who support the other candidates, "How many meeting have I attended?"
I find it funny after knocking on doors for almost 4 weeks and making phone calls. Not one person has asked that question here are some of the more popular ones 1. what is a commissioner and what does he do? 2. I can vote in that i thought it was only for the fire department? 3. How much experience do you have with Fire Dept? Sad to say that not many people are aware the commission exists . We are trying to change that.
