"Menapause The Musical" Comes To Red Bank at Count Basie Theater

"Menapause The Musical" came to the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank this past weekend to a sold out crowd. The show is 90 minutes long with no intermission and provides hilarious laughs from start to finish.

The show is set at Bloomingdales in New York City where four women come together in the women's lingerie department fighting over underwear. They begin to bond and spend the day at the store and discuss the "change of life".

Many popular songs are sung with the words changed to reflect the many changes that happen to women when going through menopause. Songs like "Staying Alive" becomes "Staying Awake" or "Night Fever" is changed to "Night Sweats" just to give a few of the many symptoms of the change.
