Another awful story. The poor family. I'm not quite sure how crated dogs just get out of theirRead More crates. Not making excuses but it sounds like the owners are hiding something. Not that it helps the child who is gone forever. RIP

Hats off to the Federal Reserve and it's counterparts around the world who have collectively printedRead More $29 trillion dollars and artificially driven up every market in the world. The question everyone should ask is, what happens when the printing stops and everyone heads for the exits? It will be like playing musical chairs with ten participants and one chair.

Does the increase include NEW and ADDITIONAL contributions to the fund? That is not clear in theRead More article; if so, then the rise is not 16 %. And, since the Dow is up about 11% for the past 12 months, I'd want to see some serious analysis prior to claiming the fund is doing well. The real test will be when the market takes its first "correction!"

Parents, go to BOE meetings, keep informed of whats going on in your school district. AskRead More questions. Keep administrators on there toes. If you don't agree with the never-ending testing, let them know. They are your children, speak up.

Last Week to file for FRHSD Board Representative
cynicinmarlboro July 22, 2014 at 08:13 am
William, other than your annoying Capitalizations of words that require No Capitals, you digressRead More from the true problem. Even if you speak of the township issues, 60-65% of your tax bill goes to support the two school districts and their never-ending calls for salary increases (even when many others have received little or no increases during the same time period and had to pay more for healthcare). Did the FRHSD administrators really need increases this year on their already well-paid salaries? And even a small percentage on a highly-paid salary is more than what would be received by a cafeteria worker getting the same increase (as an example). We would all like increases, but many of us have not received much of anything and foreclosures continue to occur in town. However, the whole educational system lives in their own world with no concern for the taxpayers (not to mention the state Supreme Court, which overstepped their bounds on their Abbott decision, and all we have seen is tax money wasted in those area). It's difficult to understand when educators are taxpayers themselves - that's the irony of the situation. How do other states do it without over-burdening their taxpayers? Any wonder why people continue to move out of state? Even retired public workers receiving pensions move out to save money rather than remain here.
