More About Manasquan Reservoir
As part of the Monmouth County Park system, the Manasquan Reservoir is one of the best natural recreational sites in the area. From the lake to the walking trails to the picnic areas, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the property that takes up more than 1,200 acres. Starting from the visitor's center, where one can rent a boat, buy some bait or just get a snack from the vending machines, the Manasquan Reservoir's natural beauty can be seen in every direction. The reservoir also includes two trails. Whether it is the 5.1-mile path that goes around the perimeter of the facility or the 1.1-mile nature trail there are plenty of sites to be seen.
A 2012 Patch poll identified the Manasquan Reservoir as the best park in town. Out of 36 votes cast the county park received an overwhelming majority of the votes with 28 or 77 percent of the total cast.
