Ardena Painting Project Continues Tonight

A look at events happening in and around Howell on Wednesday August 14, 2013.

The forecast for today calls for sunny weather and very few clouds in sight, a pattern which the National Weather Service predicts will continue for much of the rest of the week.

Looking at the temperature for today the high should be a very comfortable 77 degrees during the day and a low of 56 when the sun goes down.

The clear weather should mean great conditions for the community around the Ardena School to complete their work sprucing up the blacktop and play area ahead of the start of the school year. Volunteers are welcome between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Just across the border in Freehold, the nice weather should help make a successful night for the final Freehold Idol auditions which start at 7:30 in the downtown area. After tonight the finals are scheduled to begin next week as long as the weather cooperates over the next two weeks.

Before the first songs are performed downtown the farmer’s market at CentraState Medical Center should also be able to be held without a problem. Held at the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory building the market runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and features a wide variety of locally grown fruits, vegetables and more.
