BOE Holding Last Meeting Before Elections

A look at events happening in Howell on Wednesday October 16, 2013.

When the Howell Board of Education meets tonight it will likely be the last time before three members will look to keep their seats on Election Day.

The board will discuss making future meetings paperless. Currently the members have the agenda, addenda and any backup items printed out. The agenda and addenda are also available to the public for all meetings in addition to being available on the website. Also on the agenda is an item to accept the retirement of longtime Middle School South Social Studies teacher John Szyarto.

There is also a special event at Allaire State Park this afternoon when Dan Farella will lead guests on a walk through the park looking at wild mushrooms and other plants that grow on the property. Farella is a forager, herbalist and musician who will lead the tour that leaves at 2 p.m. To RSVP email Dan@returntonature.us.
