Dollar General on Thursday Planning Board Agenda

An application in front of the Planning Board at Thursday’s meeting could bring at least one new business to Howell.

Dollar General is presenting a preliminary and final site plan to build a new structure on Route 9 in a parking lot behind the Regal Plaza. The board is also expected to hear a continuation of an application to build a CVS, Quick Chek convenience store and gas station as well as a bank at the intersection of Route 9 and Salem Hill road.

According to the National Weather Service we may not see the sun for several days and have a chance to see our first real snowfall of the winter this weekend. The high temperature for today is expected to be around 62 on a cloudy day with a 30 percent chance of rain. The rain should continue into tonight with a low around 51 degrees. The chance of rain increases to close to 60 percent at night leading into a rainy and potentially snowy weekend.
