Frigid Temperatures as Howell Boards Reorganize
A look at events happening in Howell on Tuesday January 6, 2014.
There will likely be no picnics held at Oak Glen Park on Tuesday as freezing cold temperatures are expected to settle across our area through the night.
Whether people are going to the Howell Council meeting at the Municipal Building or the Howell Board of Education meeting at Middle School North jackets will likely be required to get to either meeting.
The council meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30 and will mark the official start of a one year unexpired term for Councilman Bob Walsh, filling the remainder of Mayor Bill Gotto’s term. At the board meeting Mark Bonjavanni will be sworn in to replace Jeanette Smith in his return to the dais.

A sunny day is predicted by the National Weather Service but that sun only brings a high of 13 degrees according to the National Weather Service. That high feels much colder with winds upwards of 20 MPH bringing a wind chill as low as 10 degrees below zero. The low for Tuesday night is expected to be around 7 degrees with a wind chill near eight below.
