HHS Drama Parents Hosting Clothing Drive

A look at events happening around Howell on Friday October 4, 2013.

Tucked away just off Route 9 is Prince of Peace Church and starting on Friday the Howell institution will be holding a flea market leading into a busy weekend here in town.

The flea market is scheduled to run today from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. When the sale is done the Howell High School Drama Parents Association will be holding a clothing drive on Saturday morning at the high school. Items being collected include clothing, shoes, pocketbooks, linens and toys but not books or CDs. Items should be placed in well tied garbage bags and they will then be taken immediately to families in need.

After many days of nothing but sunshine the National Weather Service is calling for a chance of rain lingering through most of the weekend. There is at least a slight chance of showers in the afternoon with a high temperature expected near 79 degrees. The chance of showers continues into tonight when the mercury is expected to drop down to around 60 degrees.
