With lighter agendas recently the Howell Township Council recently decided to start the public portion of meetings at 7 p.m. after executive sessions start at 6:30. Tuesday night will be the first implementation of this new schedule at the new Municipal Building.
Before the meeting the National Weather Service is calling for a morning fog which should burn off by around 8 a.m. When the fog clears the sun is expected to come out for a high of 85 before a low of 67 by the time the council meeting lets out.
There are three proclamations on the preliminary agenda for tonight’s meeting. The first is to honor Christa Riddle of the Howell Municipal Alliance, followed by recognition for participants in the Law Enforcement Youth Academy and a third for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
The council is also scheduled to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Farmingdale Howell First Aid Squad for a third party billing plan. This is the second such plan for a local squad joining the Howell First Aid Squad in working under the license of the Howell Township Police EMS Squad’s license with the state board of health. Only the Ramtown First Aid Squad has not yet joined the program in the township.
