A look at events happening in Howell on Wednesday November 20, 2013.

There is still just about a month and a half left in 2013 and before current Howell Board of Education member Jeannette Smith’s term ends there is still more work to be done.

The board is scheduled to meet on Wednesday night at Middle School North and one of the items on the agenda is a presentation on guidance services that the district offers to students. Kathy Winecoff, the Field Service Representative from the New Jersey School Boards Association will discuss not only superintendent’s goals but also the roles and responsibilities for members of the board.

Also on Wednesday the board is scheduled to accept the retirement of Aldrich School fifth grade teacher Virginia Costello, Middle School North French teacher Renee Rosen and Itinerant Media Specialist Cindy Fine as of January 1, 2014.
