The Howell Township Council is scheduled to sign a sister city agreement with some distinguished guests from Mongolia on Tuesday night but Mother Nature may have other ideas.

Depending on how much snow we get tonight’s council meeting may not be held as scheduled meaning an agreement with representatives with the Sukhbaatar District would have to be signed at a later date. Also on the agenda Tax Assessor Greg Hutchinson is scheduled to give a presentation on the Property Tax Assessment Demonstration Program. More information on the program can be found here.

A winter weather advisory is in effect today with between two and four inches expected to fall across our area. The National Weather Service is calling for a high of just 35 degrees during the day before a mostly clear night with a low close to 20 degrees. The advisory stretches from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. with the bulk of the snow expected to fall between dawn and the afternoon.
