Two Meetings in Howell on Thursday

A look at events happening in Howell on Thursday November 7, 2013.

Depending on the decisions of the Planning Board at tonight’s meeting an intersection in Howell could have a very different look in the near future.

A company called Landmark Howell LLC is presenting an application to build a CVS, Quick Chek with gas station and a bankbank pad with a drive thru at the intersection of Route 9 and Salem Hill Road. This is the second application to come in front of one of the township land use boards with a Quick Chek. The first is located on Route 33 and Colts Neck Road and is currently tied up in the court system.

Before the Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. the Mayor and Council will hold a budget presentation at 9 a.m. in the main meeting room.

Anyone going to the new Municipal Building will have to brave the rain as the National Weather Service is calling for an 80 percent chance of wet weather across our area. The bulk of the rain is expected to fall before 1 p.m. with up to a quarter of an inch of rain possible before the showers move on.

The high temperature is expected to be around 62 degrees during the day before dropping to a low around 39 on a mostly clear night. Today’s rain should be the last we see for several days according to the most recent forecasts.
