Women of Words to Meet Wednesday

A look at events happening in Howell on Wednesday January 22, 2014.

Schools are closed in Howell on Wednesday and with snow possibly continuing through the morning other events planned for the day could be cancelled.

If the weather cooperates and the streets are cleared in time the Women of Words Book Club could still meet as planned at the Howell Public Library. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and the book for January is Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities.

The latest forecasts from Tuesday night called for the snow to wrap up around 7 a.m. after another three to seven inches fell during the evening hours. When the snow does pass the sun should come out on a blistering cold day. The high temperature is expected to only be 15 degrees with the wind chill dropping that down to around seven below. The low temperature is expected to be around three degrees on Wednesday night with a wind chill of around eight below.
