MARTIN TRUEX JR FOUNDATION GAINING MOMENTUM

The Annual Martin Truex Jr. Foundation Fan Event and Benefit will be held at Manahawkin Lake Park on September 25th. Fun for the entire family. Pre-ordered discount tickets are available online at www.MTJF.org.

MOORESVILLE, NC: The annual Martin Truex Jr. Fan Event and Benefit Fundraiser will be held on September 25th from 4pm-8pm at Manahawkin Lake Park, rain or shine. This family fun event brings home NASCAR Champion #56 NAPA driver Martin Truex Jr. "I love coming home for this event, we are excited to change it up this year, and to have WJRZ 100.1 on board as our radio partner," said Truex Jr. There will be live music by Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns, food and beverage vendors, lots of kid's activities, including the MTJF Let's Go Fishing game sponsored by Pepperidge Farms. Dr. Bernard and the Pawsitive Action Team will be on hand, and there will be free blood pressure screenings as part of Southern Ocean Medical Center’s event sponsorship and support. A ‘chance raffle’ will have over 30 items from local businesses as well as unique one-of-a-kind autographed NASCAR souvenirs and jewelry with proceeds benefiting the MTJ Foundation. The #56 NAPA car will be there as well as an opportunity to purchase #56 souvenirs and Foundation apparel. The first 100 pre-registered ticket holders are guaranteed autograph time with Martin along with younger brother, up-and-coming driver Ryan Truex. This year  MyLBILife.com, the official smartphone app for Long Beach Island, has joined as the Mobile Media Partner along with other key event sponsors:   Fulton Bank,  Stafford Township, NASCAR Foundation and Wall Stadium Speedway. "Without great partners and sponsors like these, we could not host such a fun event," said Foundation Director, Sandy Plemmons. "The Fan Event has historically been held as a dinner the night before our golf tournament; this year we wanted to change things up a bit. So many people reached out to Martin and the Foundation after Hurricane Sandy to thank him for all the support, we felt the time was the right to do something different and fun for the entire family." A significant portion of the proceeds raised at this event will stay local as part of the Martin Truex Jr. Pediatric Care Center at Southern Ocean Medical Center.

Tickets are still available online at www.MartinTruexJrFoundation.org or www.MTJF.org for short.
