Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, a Barnabas Health facility, is partnering with the Lakewood Mayor’s Office and the New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF) to bring the New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum to the Lakewood Town Parade on Monday, May 26.

The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude with a ceremony at the Amphitheater near the Lake. Parked adjacent to the Amphitheater at North Beach Parking Lot at North Lake Drive and 2nd Street, the Mobile Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., giving local visitors a chance to learn more about the influential New Jersey men and women who made invaluable contributions to the state and the world in arts, business, sports, science and business. Through a sponsorship by Barnabas Health, guests are welcome to access the Mobile Museum at no cost.

“As part of Barnabas Health – the largest not-for-profit healthcare delivery system in the state – we are proud of the contributions of the men and women of New Jersey,” said Mike Mimoso, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus. “We’re excited to be able to offer Lakewood and other area residents a look into the lives of influential New Jerseyans and hope this experience will inspire the people we serve.”

Designed by famed architect and NJHOF inductee Michael Graves and renowned museum exhibition designer, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the Mobile Museum offers a dramatic multimedia exhibition created around the theme – “Make a Difference.” Through images, artifacts, film and interactive elements, visitors can explore the ways that Hall of Fame inductees have changed the state and the world as innovators, leaders and voices for the voiceless – often against overwhelming odds.

“The Mobile Museum is the nation's first of its kind. The Mobile Museum inspires visitors to strive for excellence in all walks of life and provides a blueprint on how to follow in the footsteps of New Jersey legends that are showcased onboard the Mobile Museum," said Steve Edwards, President of the NJHOF Foundation.
