Howell Egg Farm Continues Tradition of Giving to Local Food Pantry

Puglisi Egg Farm donates more than 10 thousand eggs to help those in need

For more than 60 years the Puglisi Egg Farm has been a staple of the Howell community and remains one of the last holdouts of a long tradition of egg farms in the township.

On Tuesday morning Nicole Puglisi, part of the third generation of the Puglisi family at the farm was at the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties to donate 10,800 of their finest product. Packed onto one palette the eggs, in boxes of 15 dozen eggs will be distributed through the food bank's channels to help people all across the area.

The donation was part of the United Egg Producer's annual egg donation program and in five years Puglisi has donated more than 80,000 eggs to help feed people in need. Overall the group is looking to contribute close to 9 million eggs across the country.
