Set for 6:30 p.m. on 12th anniversary at Preventorium Road.

The Township of Howell will remember the terrorist attacks of 9/11 on the 12th anniversary during a special ceremony at the old Town Hall.

Mayor Bill Gotto and the council as well as other local organizations and other people will take part in the ceremony which is scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Gotto said more than a decade later it is important to remember the events of the tragic day. “‘Howell Remembers’ aims to bring Howell Township together to remember the day that changed us forever,” he said. “As the nation and world look toward the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Howell Township will join the rest of the country to remember and honor the thousands of innocent men, women and children killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001.”

The Howell Township Memorial is located on Preventorium Road and there is parking between the old Town Hall and the Senior Center.
