Earlier this year Dr. Lud Gutmann came back to his hometown to talk about his new book Richard Road: Journey from Hate.
On Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Gutmann, who is on the faculty at West Virginia University, will be at the Howell Library to talk about growing up in the town and how it has changed since then.
Gutmann's book discusses a variety of topics including growing up in a family that escaped the Nazis in Europe and raised chickens here in town. From Howell he was the first student from Freehold High School to attend Princeton University before working his way to Morgantown where he works on the faculty of the in the neurology department.
The event is sponsored by the Howell Historical Society and the Friends of the Howell Library.
