Plenty of Chances to Enjoy Movies Outdoors This Summer

Shore Flicks to present shows all over the area

With the warm weather settling over the area residents all over the county will have the chance to watch some of their favorite stars under the stars.

Shore Flicks will be showing movies on 60 nights in 19 towns including three films at right here in Howell. "Our goal is to bring back the outdoor family movie experience by echoing the nostalgic feel of the drive-in movie theater, which was invented in New Jersey," owner TJ Brustowicz said.

To make sure everyone has a good view of the movies they are shown on 16 foot screens and start 30 minutes after sundown. As part of the night Shore Flicks will also be collecting non-perishable food items that can be given to area food banks. Last year their efforts helped to collect 1000 pounds of food.

This year the items donated will help Clean Ocean Action and Kick Cancer Overboard. The showings will also include the music video "Kindness Boomerang," which was produced by the non-profit organization Life Vest Inside."

The video was shot in downtown Red bank and "illustrates the broader impact of one random act of kindness," Brustowicz said.
