Self Defense Class Set For April 18

Class sponsored by Howell Police and PAL

On April 18 the in cooperation with the will be holding the annual Women Self Defense Training Seminar at the old Southard School.

of the Howell Police Department said the class is important for all Howell residents and provides valuable lessons. "In the world we live in, safety and security are essential in living with a 'positive piece of mind,'" he said. 

Bauer said the class is designed to give the students that piece of mind while they learn how to defend themselves in a variety of situations.

With the help of the department, the PAL, the Howell Chamber of Commerce and the Howell Community Alliance for the Prevention of Drugs and Alcohol the class is open to females age 13 and up and teaches "simple techniques for your safety and security," Bauer said. 

The class is scheduled to run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information on the class or to RSVP call 732-961-0370. Bauer said space is limited so RSVPs are requested by April 13.
