Showers Predicted During Mostly Sunny Week

A look at the forecast for the week.

A potential wet start to the week should make room for plenty of sun and more warm temperatures across our area.

The National Weather Service was calling for rain to arrive Sunday night and run into Monday morning before sun in the afternoon. Once the showers pass the high temperature is expected to be near the mid 60s despite potentially strong winds. When the sun goes down the temperature is expected to drop dramatically with a low in the upper 30s expected.

Tuesday is not expected to be a whole lot warmer with a high just in the upper 40s with more potentially strong winds making for an even colder day. Tuesday’s low is expected to barely reach the upper 20s according to the most recent forecast.

The chill of Tuesday night is expected to make way for a high around 50 on a sunny Wednesday before dropping back to the low 30s at night. As the weekend gets closer Thursday’s high is expected to be in the lower 50s before a low in the upper 30s at night.

As the week comes to an end the forecast gets a little cloudy. A high in the lower 50s to start the day on Friday is expected to set the table for a 30 percent chance of showers later in the day. The chance of showers increases on Friday night with the possibility of a mix of rain and snow.
