'Team Bradley' Looking to Raise Autism Awareness

Fundraiser to be held April 2

As part of World Autism Day a group of local residents will be holding a fundraiser at the on April 2. 

"Team Bradley" will be walking in the new Jersey Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Sept. 29 in Long Branch and is looking for people to help raise money and be a part of their team in the walk. 

The team is named for a 4-year-old named Bradley who was diagnosed with Autism at just 28 months old. His mother Amy Huizenga said the group took part in the walk last year and they are looking forward to being part of it again this year.

Huizenga said they are proud to be a part of an event like the walk and benefit an organization like Autism speaks on such an important day. "We are doing the fundraiser now because there is no better day for it than Autism Awareness Day," she said.

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 15 percent of all purchases at the popular Howell spot will go toward helping Team Bradley in their goal of raising awareness.
