Lots to do in Howell this week

After the Martin Luther King holiday it looks to be a busy week in Howell.

The Howell Township Council will meet tonight at the new Municipal Building at 7:30 with a full agenda. This will also be the first full meeting of the council since the reorganization meeting. The agenda can be found here.

Tomorrow night the Mayor and Council are scheduled to hold an event with the Chamber of Commerce which is also being held at the Municipal Building. The event is also expected to include "a few department heads," according to information from the Chamber.

Running from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. anyone interested in attending is encouraged to RSVP to 732-363-4114 or info@howellchamber.com.

The Howell Public Schools Board of Education is also scheduled to meet on Wednesday night at Middle School North. The meeting is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and will have a busy agenda including school safety and full day kindergarten.

The Howell Township Rabies Clinic is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Public Works Garage. In the case of inclement weather the clinic will be held on Feb. 2.

According to the township's website all dog and cat licenses expire on Jan. 31 and all rabies shots must be current as of Dec. 1 in order to purchase a new license.
