Welcome to Howell Patch

If you are reading this story it means it must be after December 2nd and the Howell Patch site has officially launched.

First of all, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adam Hochron and as you can see in my biography I have spent much of the past six years since graduating from Rider University working as a local news reporter.

I have been a hard news reporter and a sports reporter, which I think is what excites me about this new opportunity the most. I get to combine those two into one venture where I can try to bring the best information to the people with whom I share the town I now live in.

Though the site is just launching now I have been on the job for more than a month and a half. And in just that short period of time I have seen more of Howell than I had in the almost three years my wife and I have lived here. But now is when I am looking forward to really getting to know this town. 

With all the schools and all the organizations and all the businesses in Howell,  I want to get to know the people and places that make this town run. Now, I cannot promise that I will be everywhere all the time.  But I can promise that if there is something important going on I will do my best to cover it and bring as much information to you as possible.

Whether it is a school activity, a sporting event or a town council meeting I will be there to bring it to you. I realize that Patch.com is new to you, and so am I. But I am hoping that if you give me the opportunity we can work together to make this town even better by keeping everyone more informed about what is going on.

In a town as big Howell there is surely a lot going on, and if there are things that you see I am not covering feel free to tell me about it. If I can, I will write a story about it so more people can know about what is going on.
