Wet Start and Cold Temperatures Mark Upcoming Forecast

Chance of snow possible on Friday.

While last week’s forecast was marked by a blanket of snow our area this week should see mostly clear days after today and some cold temperatures throughout the next few days.

The National Weather Service is calling for an 80 percent chance of rain today on a day when the high temperature is expected to only reach as high as 35 degrees. When the rain passes the low for tonight is expected to be around six degrees with a wind chill of just eight degrees below zero.

Tuesday will be the coldest day of the week with a high of only 12 degrees expected on a mostly sunny and breezy day. When the sun goes down the low temperature should fall around 7 degrees on a mostly clear night. Wednesday should mark the turning point in the weather for the week on a mostly cloudy day with a high near 25 and just a slight dip to a low of 20 at night.

As Thursday rolls around the high temperature is expected to rise to around 39 degrees under a mostly cloudy sky. There is at least a 40 percent chance of rain on Thursday night with a low around 31 degrees through the night. That cold start could help bring some early rain and snow on Friday which is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 45 degrees and a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
