The memory of Halloween being blown away by Hurricane Sandy last year is still fresh in the minds of many people and there is a chance that the annual spooktacular could get washed away by rain this year.
According to the National Weather Service our forecast for the week should be mostly clear and a little cool until a 50 percent chance of showers arrives just in time for trick or treaters to be out and about.
After an early morning frost clears on Monday the high temperature is expected to reach close to 59 degrees before dropping to a low of 41 at night. Tuesday will be a little cooler with a high of 56 and a low of 42 before a high of 61 is expected for the daytime on Wednesday. There is also a 20 percent chance of showers during the day before a mostly cloudy night with a low around 43 degrees.

Halloween during the day is expected to be clear and warmer with a high near 67 before a low of 50 degrees at night. The forecast does call for a 50 percent chance of showers Thursday night and a 60 percent chance of showers on Friday with a high near 70 and a low of 49 to end the week.
