Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in Howell

Winner can collect $10,000 prize.

It may not have been a seven-figure winner but a business in Howell sold a ticket that will help boost someone’s bank account.

The New Jersey Lottery announced a $10,000 winning lottery ticket was sold at the K Food Store located at 2985 Route 9. The Howell ticket was one of five winners in that amount as part of the September 17 Mega Millions drawing. This is the second time this year that a big winning ticket was sold in Howell. In May another $10,000 winning ticket was sold at the Ramtown Pharmacy.

One ticket sold in Bergen County brought a second prize winner $250,000 while a $20,000 third place ticket was sold in Camden County.

Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger congratulated all the local winners on their stroke of good luck. “Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,’ she said. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become seven more ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”

There were more than 55,000 other winners from the Garden State bringing home prizes ranging between $2 and $150.

The winning numbers were 06, 15, 27, 31 and 39. The Gold Mega BAll was 25 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02. There was no top prize winner which means the next Mega Millions jackpot will be worth $145 million for the September 20 drawing. The numbers will be picked at 11 p.m.

Wasn't there a million dollar winning ticket in June sold at route 9 liquor store? That would make 3 in Howell.
