Getting Crafty at Michaels with Halloween Decorations

Michaels in the Howell Commons is offering Halloween-themed events for local residents

Maybe the best thing about the spooky economy is that more people will seek out their creative spirit to make unique Halloween decorations and costumes.

, the huge craft store located in the Howell Commons Shopping Center on Route 9, has a bunch of Halloween-decorating events scheduled in October. Kids get to work on a long table in the store's workshop room. 

Tues:, Oct 25: Paper Pumpkin Event, Grace your home with ghoulish decor. Free. 10a.m. - Noon

Weds., Oct. 26: Halloween Visor Event. Make a Halloween-themed sun visor. Must purchase visor. 6 p.m - 8 p.m.

Thurs. Oct. 27: Halloween Mask Event. Make your own masquerade mask. Must purchase mask. 6 p.m - 8 p.m.

Fri. Oct 28: Halloween Clay Pot Event. Designyour own adorable clay pot creations. Must purchase 3" clay pot (50 cents). 6 p.m - 8 p.m.

Sat. Oct. 29: Halloween Event. Join the costume parade (1:30 p.m.-2 p.m.), create trick-or-treat Duck Tape totes or pails (11 a.m. - noon) and get little faces painted (noon - 1:30 p.m.)

Sat. Oct. 30: Halloween Crayola Pumpkin Patch Event. Celebrate Crayola style. Free Make-it Take-it. 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

All events are for ages 3 and up, and while supplies last.
