Gotto Gives Glimpses Of Hope To Business Community

It has only been six months since Mayor Bill Gotto was sworn in but at a recent chamber of commerce event he took some time to share some early accomplishments.

The meeting was the first of a series of breakfast events the chamber will hold at Calgo Gardens and included business owners from a wide array of industries.

During his opening remarks the mayor touted an increase in tax ratables, discussed some potential new businesses that could be coming to town and also talked candidly about the potential for installing sewers on the Route 9 and Route 33 corridors.

All those steps and the continuing work of the council, the administration, the Department of Community Development, and the chamber, he said, will help improve the town for business owners and residents alike.

The chamber will meet again next Tuesday at Calgo Gardens at 8 am and the council will meet that night at 7:30.
