Howell Chamber Honors Locals at Annual Banquet

Hurricane Sandy postponed original event

It took a little longer than originally planned but the Howell Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet recently to honor people who contributed to the township in 2012.

Held at Eagle Oaks Country Club, the event was originally scheduled for last November before Hurricane Sandy forced the event to be delayed until February 10.

At the event several groups were honored including CentraState Healthcare System which was recognized as the Chamber's Business of the Year. Accepting that award was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dan Messina.

Barbara Ladagona of TLC Family Chiropractic was honored as Citizen of the Year and Chad Schwarz of Affiliated Foot and Ankle Care was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year.

The Chamber also honored Mark Ackerman with a lifetime achievement award and Camille Mussari for her work with students at Howell High School.

This year's banquet was the first for George Krebs of Shore Business Solutions as the president of the Chamber while Immediate Past President and former Chapter House owner was also in attendance. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was Martin Saltzman, a partner with A.F.M. Investments.

Why dont you Honor some members of the EMS Community in Howell? These are the real Volunteers and Heros who put in countless hours and saved this town during Sandy by not only responding to First Aid calls, but also Fed Police, Public Works and other Township Employees during the Storm.
