A Wet Day in Howell, But it Could be Worse

Lots of rain, but no snow in the forecast

The drive down Route 9 certainly is a wet one this Wednesday morning. With the National Weather Service calling for rain all day long, the drive home does not figure to be too much better.

The forecast for the next 24 hours calls for more than two inches of rain to fall on the town and possibly thunderstorms tonight. The wind could also be a factor tonight. The weather service said there could be a breeze at some parts of the night and gusts as high as 37 MPH.

While there figures to be a lot of precipitation, with temperatures not expected to drop below 35 degrees, whatever falls should stay as rain. Some parts in the northern part of the state could see more than an inch of snow before the night is done.
