Be Ready for a Hot Memorial Day

Temperatures could approach the 90's today

If you are headed out to a Memorial Day celebration today make sure you bring plenty of water with you.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high near 87 degrees for making it one of the hottest days of the year so far. 

Today's heat is the start of what figures to be a warm week that could also bring heavy rains From Tuesday into Wednesday. The forecasts for today into tonight only have the temperature dropping to around 69 before rising back up to 86 on Tuesday.

The forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of rain which could get harder depending on the track of possible thunder storms. The rain could continue into Tuesday night when the low figures to again only drop into the high 60's. 

There is still no break from the heat expected on Wednesday when the high will be around 85 with a 50 percent chance of rain and storms still called for in the forecast.

By the time Wednesday night rolls around the temperature should drop to around 61 which will lead to a lower high on Thursday of around 78 degrees. From there the temperature is expected to drop to around 58 with a high of 76 expected on Friday.
