JSM at Eaton proposed commercial development along Route 9 corridor

A commercial development proposed at Elton-Adelphia Road and Route 9 South in Freehold Township is moving forward. The Freehold Township Committee approved the executing of developer’s agreement with JSM at Eaton during its regular meeting at  on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The development, called Towne Center at Freehold, includes a 5,950-square-foot restaurant; a 6,300-square-foot restaurant; a 2,958-square-foot bank; a two-story, 8,352-square-foot daycare center; and an 8,000-square-foot commercial building, according to documents JSM at Eaton, LLC presented to the Planning Board in February.

TD Bank was identified during Planning Board testimony in February as the financial institution that will occupy the bank building. JSM at Eaton attorney John A. Giunco told the land use board that the commercial building would house offices and small stores instead of a large retail facility. The Planning Board approved the preliminary and final site plan on Thursday, Feb. 17.
