Five Things to do in the Days Ahead

Lots of ways to stay busy this weekend

1. The spring high school sports season is winding down, but that does not mean that the excitement is also almost done. The boys lacrosse team will start its state tournament run today. They will host Rancocas Valley starting at 3:30 on their home field.

2. Tonight also marks the second and final performance of an Evening of Choreography at Howell High School. Being performed by the school's FPAC, the show starts at 7 p.m. and is scheduled to run until 9 p.m.

3. Starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday morning, Allaire State Park will be hosting its annual Spring flea market. There will be more than 100 vendors at the park with proceeds benefitting the historic village.

4. If you're down in the Ramtown section of town on Saturday and you're hoping to get your car washed, head over to the Elks Lodge. Howell High School's chapter of SADD will be hosting a car wash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost will be just $7 per car with the proceeds helping out the club.

5. The week ahead will be busy when it comes to meetings. That starts Tuesday when the town council will hold its third meeting in as many weeks starting at 7:30. The board of education is scheduled to meet on Wednesday night starting at 8 p.m. at Middle School North. This will be just the second meeting of the newly elected board.
