Five Things To Keep You Busy This Week

Meetings, games and more on the calendar for this week

1. It's Valentine's Day, so for those who have someone special, hope you are doing something romantic today. And for those who are against the day, there should be plenty of non-valentine activities for you as well. Those who are civic minded can go to Town Hall tonight for the latest meeting of the Board of Adjustment. That meeting starts at 8 p.m.

2. There will be plenty to do tomorrow. First there is a Shore Conference Tournament boys game with the Rebel boys hosting Brick Memorial at 5:30. The town council will be meeting tomorrow night at 7:30 back at town hall. Even after that the Rebel hockey team will be heading to the Red Bank Armory to take on the squad from Red Bank Catholic.

3. On Wednesday night the Howell Township Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m. in the Middle School North cafetorium. The last three scheduled meetings of the board have been cancelled due to weather, but with temperatures expected to be in the 40's, that seems less likely this time around.

4. The Howell Lady Rebels earned the eighth seed in the Shore Conference Tournament which earned them a game against the ninth seeded Jackson Memorial Jaguars on Thursday night. The two teams squared off earlier this month with the Rebels picking up the win. Thursday's game will tip off at 5:30 at the home of the Rebels.

5. Friday night brings the long awaited District 21 Tournament for the Howell wrestling team at Manalapan High School. The Rebels will be looking to send as many wrestlers as possible to the Region 6 field with the goal of making it all the way to Atlantic City.
