Going to Tonight's Meeting? Here Are Some Route 9 Alternatives

Plenty of ways to get to the new Municipal Building

Tonight at 7:30 the Howell Mayor and Council will hold its first meeting at the new Municipal Complex formerly known as the Global Building.

If driving on Route 9 is not your preferred mode of transportation there are alternatives on local roads. Here are some courtesy of Google Maps and share your own routes in the comments section.

If you are going to the meeting from the north particularly on the southbound side of Route 9 Jackson Mills Road is probably your best bet if you want to avoid the traffic.

Take that road down until you make a left onto Hyson Road. From Hyson make a right on N. New Prospect Road before turning left on Bethel Church Road. Make the third left onto Friendship Road and a right onto New Friendship Road. A quick left onto Route 9 North will drop you right in front of the new building next to the Southard Fire Department.

From Ramtown:

Making the trip from Ramtown can start much the same way as it would if you were going to the old Municipal Building.

Taking Maxim Southard Road to Locust Road will drop you on Route 9 right by the Kohl's shopping center and the Southard house. Making a right into the right most lane of Route 9 North will put in position to make the right into the parking lot of the new building after passing the jughandle.

Of course if you don't mind the traffic Route 9 North or South will get you to the new building just as easily. If you are heading south just take the jughandle by Sonic and make the left to get to the building. If you are headed north keep an eye out for the Southard house and you are almost there.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30. Handicapped parking and accessible doors are available on the left side and rear of the building
