The Labor Day weekend rush had not descended on the Jersey Shore area as of 5 p.m. on Friday night.
According to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority there are no reported problems on the Garden State Parkway in our area. There is an accident on Route 88 between Clover St. in Lakewood and New Hampshire Ave. in Lakewood. A pole is down as a result of the accident and all lanes are closed until further notice.
There is also heavy volume reported on Route 195 east reaching from Exit 1 for Route 206 in Hamilton all the way to Exit 6 for the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville.
